WHY WORK AT WILSHIRE

At Wilshire, growth and improvement are always top of mind. Rebecca highlighted the company’s commitment to evolving its culture by modernizing outdated processes to better support employees. “We’re looking at ways to automate, make things smoother, and empower people to make changes as they run into them,” she said. They’ve also introduced anonymous quarterly surveys to give employees a voice, and the company takes that feedback seriously. “By listening, responding, and creating space for employees to call out issues, we’re building a culture of trust and continuous improvement,” Rebecca added.

When it comes to professional development, Wilshire offers various opportunities for growth. While on-the-job learning has always been a part of the company’s culture, Rebecca shared that they’re expanding their formal development programs. Wilshire now sponsors LinkedIn Learning courses and certifications like CFA and CAIA, along with curated learning paths to help employees target specific skills. “We’re building more programming to help people grow in their careers,” Rebecca said.

THE TYPES OF EMPLOYEES THAT SUCCEED AT WILSHIRE

As for the type of employees who thrive at Wilshire, Rebecca emphasized the importance of a proactive and team-oriented mindset. “The people who succeed here are open-minded, driven to make things better, and willing to work collaboratively,” she explained. On the flip side, those who are more focused on individual recognition or prefer working alone may not fit as well into Wilshire’s collaborative environment.

Looking ahead, Wilshire is focused on growing its sales and business development teams. “As we expand our product lines and explore new markets, building out our sales team is a priority,” Rebecca shared. There are also opportunities for growth in areas like manager research.
